BioSyntech’s patented platform technology is a family of hydrogels called BST-Gel®, which are liquid at low temperature and solid at human body temperature (37°C). These gels are injected or applied to specific local sites and offer therapeutic properties for the local repair of damaged tissue such as cartilage, bone and chronic wounds. The unique ability to gel at body temperature offers the key benefit of avoiding invasive surgery.

BST-Gel® is biocompatible, muco-adhesive and safely biodegradable, with controllable residence times, allowing for a degradation time adapted to the specific application. As such, depending on the application, the therapeutic effect can be targeted to last a few days to several years.
