Established in 1995 and traded on the TSX Venture since 2004, BioSyntech has created and developed innovative biotherapeutic thermogels for regenerative medicine (tissue repair) and therapeutic delivery, which appeal to large unsatisfied markets. |
 |
Our platform technology is a family of hydrogels called BST-Gel®, liquid at low temperature and solid at human body temperature. These gels can be injected or applied to a specific local site and offer beneficial properties for the local repair of damaged tissue such as cartilage, bone and chronic wounds. The unique ability to gel at body temperature offers the key benefit of avoiding invasive surgery. Depending on the application, the therapeutic effect can be targeted to last a few days to several months.
We obtained intellectual property on our inventions and as of june 2007, 73 patents have been granted and 40 pending.
